Beamish Museum is basically a small victorian village that time forgot, entry fees were £16 for me, £10 for Jenson and Scarlet got in free. However, the tickets Jenson and I bought actually provided admission for an entire year! Unlike a lot of days out where small kids get board after an hour or two, there's just so much to do and see that it really does keep them busy all day. The facilities were very good, food a little more expensive than the adverage cafe but certainly less than I have paid at other attractions, an you can take picnics as there are a lot of seating areas, parking is also free. - Mum

Book Review: Dora The Explorer Alphabet Adventure
This is a really good 'travelling' book for a child. Not only do they have story and pictures but they have the small drawing board feature to play with - Mum

Book Review: The Emperor's Egg
The Emperor's Egg by Martin Jenkins
"Good book, lots of interesting facts, lovely illustrations. Would possibly suit slightly older children aged 6+ - Mum"
